SOCIAL      MISSION
Action Wipes™ are a product of Life Elements™, an approved green business by Co-op America committed to
implementing responsible environmental practices and awareness. As part of our commitment, we maintain a
variety of responsible environmental programs in our everyday business practices, such as using recyclable
packaging for our products, recycled paper for printing, recycled cardboard boxes and packing materials for
shipments, we keep our thermostat down in the winter by insulating the windows, we’ve cut our vehicle usage by
riding our bicycles and ship Carbon Free through our partnership with
Carbonfund.org. But it doesn't stop there...
we will further our efforts as we continue to grow and learn of new alternatives and remain committed to the
education of global sustainability.
The Repurposed Collection
During the process of starting Life Elements in 2005, my mother, Petra, was diagnosed with anal canal cancer; a rare form in
women. As the cancer was found in its very early stage, the prognosis was good and with proper treatment, we were advised
she had a 98% chance of recovery.

My mom chose chemotherapy and radiation treatments over surgical removal of the area.  A fatal decision.  Over the six week
course of the treatment, she was over radiated and suffered severe wounds; wounds that she fought to recover from over a
period of eight months.  The ordeal was physically painful for her and emotionally painful for our family. For almost a year we
prayed and hoped she would recover, but the affects were irreversible. She passed away on August 9, 2006.

During her ordeal, I sought to develop a line of products that would ease the burning pain that raged throughout her body, but
unfortunately, we ran out of time and eventually, I ran out of funding.  However, the C&M Couples products were launched
during this ordeal, so she used them as they were far more gentle on her sensitive skin than those the hospital supplied.
Now, as we begin the process of rebranding the Tela D'Amour, I realize I already have the products that can help others, while
at the same time help me realize my vision of creating a line in honor of my mom - now.

With a new purpose, it is in my mom's memory and that of her three sisters (two also passed away from cancer and the third is
a breast cancer survivor) that I’ve taken a portion of our Bath & Body inventory and repackaged it so that we can help, in what
small way we can, fight cancer. Eventually, the collection will evolve to be a true representation of the woman Petra was -
giving, loving and strong.

Proceeds from the collection will go towards cancer education and research in hopes that when someone else’s mom or dad,
brother or sister is diagnosed with any form of cancer, that they'll have the means to learn everything they can about their
treatment options and fight as hell to get well.

With environmental awareness, comes responsible purchasing.  We support local and global sustainability in the production
and the growing of the raw materials within our ingredients. The sourcing of these raw materials is done with integrity and
practices that benefit the people who grow them and the environment they are grown in.

We support community involvement.  We are an active member of our community, volunteering and working with non-profit
organizations such as
Achievement House Inc., which is dedicated to providing vocational and community living services for
developmentally disabled adults. Life Elements and the Achievement House have an established contract whereby these adults
assemble all our gift sets. Together, we're turning disabilities into possibilities!.
